Responsibilities
- Maintain and calibrate Oxy owned metering equipment
- Witness third party measurement activities for operational and revenue oil and gas meters
- Conduct internal measurement audits for all custody sales records
- Document compliance with the Oxy Measurement Standards
- Support Quality Assurance and Quality Control of all Oil/Water/Gas measurement activities
- Collaborate with Operations personnel to ensure all measurement activities follow Oxy Measurement Standards and relevant regulations
- Schedule and complete preventive maintenance for measurement activities
- Ensure compliance with Oxy Measurement Standards, regulatory requirements, API and AGA guidelines
- Communicate with Measurement Manager, Operations, Regulatory, and Production Accounting on issues or errors in reporting
- Provide measurement support for non-custody transfer metering such as well test, operational metering, and validation (check) measurement and Allocation Measurement
- Support Seminole CO2 Gas Plant, EOR NGL Stream, and Hobbs CO2
- Troubleshoot custody and non-custody meters
- Schedule allocation and LACT meter proving witnessing along with sample pot witnessing
- Gather Gas Samples and deliver them to the Labs
- Support ORCM Internal Measurement Audit documentation
- Install and commission new equipment
- Uncompromising focus on safety and environmental stewardship
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oil and gas measurement or related field
- Knowledge of Oxy Measurement Standards, API, and AGA guidelines
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot custody and non-custody meters
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using gas meters and related equipment
- Experience with gas sampling and laboratory analysis
- Understanding of environmental and safety regulations
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
