Measurement Analyst II, III

Major Job Responsibilities

• Supports a variety of Measurement Department functions by providing analytical and operational support across multiple systems.
• Ensures the accuracy, quality, and reliability of measurement data through monitoring, reporting, investigation, and field dispatching activities.
• Collaborates with internal teams to identify and resolve communication and data quality issues, determine root causes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Fulfills ad hoc requests as necessary.
• Gathers, interprets, and formats data and metrics for presentations for internal and external use.
• Maintains monitoring, analysis, and reporting of pipeline station data.
• Analyzes and reports data that supports various Measurement department functions.
• Confirms configuration of industrial meters across multiple systems.

Functional Expertise

• Processes data into asset tracking system and reviews work exceptions.
• Analyzes and resolves meter data issues.
• Maintains statistical sampling programs.
• Investigates incomplete or missing data and works with appropriate parties to resolve.
• Interacts with and understands multiple pieces of data across multiple systems and applications (e.g., Work Management, Asset Management, and Billing systems).
• Fulfills ad hoc requests as necessary.

Business Acumen

• Initiates activities to support the needs and direction of the business.
• Evaluates and recommends changes to processes when new issues arise.
• Provides analytical research and problem-solving to identify problems, issues, errors, and determine root cause.
• Uses analytical skills to evaluate data for accuracy.
• Identifies and evaluates improvements to systems.

Engagement

• Partners with Management to review business processes; identify gaps and areas for improvement, make recommendations based on findings.
• Conducts analysis, documents findings, and communicates to business leaders to drive results.
• Follows organizational policies and procedures and ensures compliance.
• Manages partnerships and relationships within and outside the Measurement department.
• Collaborates cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization to meet business objectives.

Driving Results

• Ensures accuracy of work meets departmental goals.
• Ensures timeliness of work completion meets departmental goals.
• Troubleshoots operating issues with applications used by Measurement.
• Manages multiple/diverse priorities.

Job Requirements

• Level 3:
• Education: Required - BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience
• Related Work Experience: Required - 3-5 years combined experience with utilities or other related experience
• Preferred: 2-4 years’ experience analyzing data
• Specific Skill and Knowledge: Strong attention to detail, conceptual analysis, strong analytical skills/ability to solve problems, interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, time management, MS Word/Excel – intermediate proficiency
• Level 4:
• Education: Required - BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience
• Related Work Experience: Required - 5-7 years combined experience with utilities or other related experience
• Preferred: 3-5 years’ experience analyzing data
• Specific Skill and Knowledge: Strong attention to detail and big picture concepts, strong analytical skills/ability to solve problems, strong interpersonal skills (indirect managing), exercise sound judgment in the use of oral and written communication skills, time management, MS Word/Excel – advanced proficiency, high degree of initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively, databases – intermediate proficiency, knowledge of Power BI Reporting Tool, advanced understanding of business systems and content.
