Want to help fight hunger in Western Michigan? Do you enjoy building meaningful connections with older adults and supporting their independence? As the Home Delivered Meals (HDM) Delivery Associate at Meals on Wheels Western Michigan, you will play a vital front-line role in delivering nourishment, connection, and compassionate service to our clients. Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of meals and other essential items on a regularly scheduled basis. Through your dependable service, warm interactions, and attention to client well-being, you will help ensure that older adults across our community receive the support they need to remain healthy and independent. As a key representative of our mission, you will contribute to a positive, caring, and client-centered environment while supporting a vibrant and fast-paced organization dedicated to serving the community.
What you’ll Bring
- Basic math and counting skills to support accurate meal delivery and documentation.
- Strong time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently and reliably.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required, with the ability to travel throughout the designated service area.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, team members, and community partners.
- Highly detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
