Meals on Wheels Driver (Part Time)

Responsibilities

• Provides meals via delivery vehicles to homebound seniors within the Iron County area for the Council on Aging (COA) Meals on Wheels program.
• Delivers meals in both Parowan and Cedar City areas.
• Drives vehicle on pre‑scheduled routes.
• Observes the general condition of clients regarding health and safety and may communicate concerns to the supervisor.
• Performs safety checks of vehicles and equipment.
• Cleans the vehicle.
• Maintains various travel and delivery records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience or a combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of vehicle operations and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and of the geographical regions serviced.
• Knowledge of state driving laws.
• Must have or obtain a food handlers permit.
• Must possess a valid Utah driver license and have a clean driving record.
• Will work between both the Cedar City and Parowan centers.

Schedule

May work approximately 20 hours per week.
