Meals Delivery Driver
Overview
Presbyterian Homes and Services is seeking a Full-time Meals Delivery Driver to join its Optage Meals team. This position is expected to work between 30-40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, based on the need of the program. The hours are day shift, generally starting around 7 am. The vehicle is provided and the route is easily navigated through an app on a company-provided work phone.
Responsibilities
- Pick up meals from the Home Delivered Meals kitchen
- Deliver meals to seniors on a specified route
- Rotate and observe consumption of food
- Assess home situations
- Interact with customers
- Ensure seniors are communicated with and are safe
- Report any information that presents a question or concern for a senior’s well-being or safety to management immediately
- Maintain documentation including collecting and filing menus and returning the food carriers to the home delivered meals main kitchen
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- A Valid Class D driver’s license
- Previous work experience as a driver preferred
- Excellent driving record
- Patience, tact, positive attitude, enthusiasm, ability to work independently and as a team player
- Flexibility, personal integrity, ability to work independently and effectively with clients, coworkers, family members, visitors, and the public
- Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers
Pay and Benefits
The estimated starting pay range for this role is $19.09 - $20.59 per hour. Full-time benefits-eligible employment begins at a minimum of 30 hours per week, including health, dental, life insurance, retirement, and paid time off. Part-time benefits-eligible employment working between 20-29 hours per week includes vision insurance, short-term and long-term disability, accident & hospitalization coverage, and education assistance programs.
