Home Delivered Meals Driver

About the role

ADVOCAP, Inc., is an established, recognized leader with over 60 years of experience in delivering effective anti-poverty and self-sufficiency programs and services. We are a private, nonprofit Community Action Agency committed to our mission of "creating opportunities for people and communities to reduce poverty and increase self-sufficiency." The Home Delivered Meal Driver position is part of our Food & Nutrition program, which helps people in their golden years and persons with specialized needs have access to delicious and nutritious daily meals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with packing up the nutritious meals for delivery
• Drive a route delivering meals to home bound individuals
• Conduct well-being checks and provide friendly conversation to brighten participants' days

Meal delivery is scheduled around lunch time, with a schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, starting at 9:30 am and working up to 3.5 hours based on the route.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED/HSED and 13 months of previous related work experience
• Possess a valid Driver's License and good driving history acceptable to our insurance carrier
• Drug screen and comprehensive background check required
• Reliable attendance and a professional work ethic
