Meal Plating Associate

About the role

CookUnity is the first-ever chef-to-consumer platform, connecting a diverse community of talented chefs with busy food lovers and elevating the at-home dining experience. We are growing rapidly and looking for a Meal Plating Associate to join our kitchen production team.

Responsibilities

• Plate meals into trays according to recipe and portion specifications
• Work with portioning equipment & technology
• Follow detailed instructions for different menu items and dietary requirements
• Verify that each meal meets quality and visual standards before moving forward
• Check for correct ingredients, portions, and labeling
• Remove and flag any items that do not meet standards
• Work efficiently to meet daily production goals and timelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation
• Restock ingredients and supplies as needed during shifts
• Work closely with kitchen staff and supervisors to keep production running smoothly
• Communicate any issues, delays, or supply needs in real time

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen or production environment
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Able to follow instructions and standardized processes
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Comfortable standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks

Qualifications

• Food handling experience is a plus (but not required)
• Proficiency with Spanish is a plus

Schedule

Based in a cold-room / production environment. May require early mornings, evenings, or weekend shifts depending on production schedules.
