Responsibilities
- Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
- Prepare a variety of foods, such as sandwiches, wraps, and trays, according to customers’ orders following approved procedures.
- Wash, peel, and cut fruits, vegetables, and meats to prepare for cooking or serving.
- Follow Heinen’s panning, packaging, and merchandising standards.
- Acquire and share knowledge of the Kitchen Department.
- Monitor and maintain all food handling and temperature standards.
- Write orders using effective pars and planning.
- Work as a team to complete daily tasks, including scanning and recording shrink, order writing (weekly and special orders), stocking, rotating, and merchandising.
- Attend required corporate meetings, vendor calls, and training classes.
- Comply with all personal and food safety company standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Compliance with all company policies and standards.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and independently to achieve daily tasks.
- Capability to work with minimal supervision.
- Production-driven with the ability to work continuously on repetitive tasks while standing.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 0 to 50 degrees.
- Willingness to work the hours required to meet company objectives, including occasional additional time as needed.
- Willingness to work a non-traditional five-day work schedule, including weekends and evenings.

Schedule
Sunday – Saturday, with shifts between 7 AM – 8 PM (Monday – Friday) and 7 AM – 7 PM (Saturday and Sunday). Approximately 25 hours per week.
