MDS Nurse

Role Overview

The MDS Nurse is a vital member of the healthcare team responsible for managing all aspects of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) process, including care planning, assessments, and resident meetings. This role involves coordinating and transmitting assessments in compliance with regulatory standards, reviewing reimbursement, and case managing care plans, including rehabilitative programs. The position requires a detail-oriented individual capable of delivering high-quality, person-centered care while demonstrating knowledge of clinical standards, regulations, and reimbursement policies governing long-term care and Medicare.

Qualifications & Skills

• A BSN is preferred, with a current OH RN license required.
• Candidates should have at least 3 years of MDS experience in long-term care or a nursing background with similar experience.
• Essential skills include strong communication, decision-making, and a commitment to resident dignity and autonomy.
• Availability for on-call rotations, including weekends, is expected.
