MDS Coordinator RN - Sign-On Bonus

About the role

The MDS Coordinator RN manages the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), including the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Care Area Assessments (CAAs), and care planning to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. They support optimized reimbursement through adherence to PDPM and payer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff, including interviewing, training, assigning work, and evaluating performance
• Handle employee concerns and participate in performance improvement plans
• Use independent judgment to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required
• Prior MDS/RAI experience preferred
• Knowledge of RAI guidelines, PDPM, ICD-10 coding, and regulatory standards
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• CPR certification required within 90 days of employment
