About the role
The State of Mississippi seeks to hire a Correctional Officer III to join the ranks of dedicated professionals committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Enforce rules and regulations within the facility.
- Monitor inmates for compliance with rules and regulations.
- Provide supervision and guidance to inmates.
- Ensure the safety and security of staff and inmates.
- Handle emergencies and incidents as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have successfully completed the training program at the Mississippi Department of Corrections or the equivalent within another state, as approved by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
- No experience required.
