Mcdonalds: «El negocio no está en la venta de hamburguesas»
We are looking for a strategic thinker to join our team and help us navigate the complexities of digital transformation and e-commerce. The ideal candidate will understand that the core of a successful business often lies beyond the obvious—whether it’s redefining customer segments, optimizing operational efficiencies, or leveraging digital tools to unlock new value.
About the role
This role involves analyzing business models, identifying inefficiencies, and proposing digital solutions that drive sustainable growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities in e-commerce, supply chain optimization, and customer engagement, ensuring that digital initiatives align with broader business goals.
The position requires a deep understanding of both B2B and B2C dynamics, as well as the ability to challenge conventional assumptions about revenue streams and cost structures. You will help us avoid common pitfalls, such as over-investing in digital infrastructure without a clear path to profitability or overlooking indirect benefits like cost reduction and customer insights.
Responsibilities
- Assess the viability of e-commerce and digital transformation strategies, focusing on long-term profitability rather than short-term sales growth.
- Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs through digital tools such as e-procurement, process mining, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), and CRM systems.
- Analyze customer data to uncover qualitative and quantitative insights that can inform business decisions and improve customer engagement.
- Evaluate the potential of B2B models to complement or replace traditional B2C approaches, particularly in industries with low margins or high delivery costs.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies that avoid cannibalization of existing sales channels while expanding digital reach.
- Challenge assumptions about digital transformation, ensuring that investments in technology are justified by tangible benefits beyond direct sales.
- Explore partnerships and alliances to enhance digital capabilities without overburdening internal resources.
Requirements
- Proven experience in e-commerce, digital transformation, or business strategy, preferably in retail, food and beverage, or consumer goods.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with digital tools such as e-procurement platforms, CRM systems, process mining, and RPA.
- Experience working in or consulting for businesses undergoing digital transformation.
- Ability to think critically about business models and identify opportunities beyond traditional revenue streams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to stakeholders.
Skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
- Data analysis and interpretation.
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and digital marketing.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics optimization.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
