About the role

The MC&A Inventory Program Manager is responsible for developing and managing the NFS Inventory Program to ensure adequate, effective, and auditable systems for site inventory activities. This role ensures compliance with NRC and State of Tennessee regulatory requirements, the site Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan (FNMCP), and radioactive material license SNM-124. The Inventory Program Manager plans and coordinates all inventory activities for High-Enriched Uranium, Moderately Enriched Uranium, Low-Enriched Uranium, Source Material, Radioactive Sealed Sources, and waste accounts, serving as the primary point of contact with operations areas during inventory preparation and execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the MC&A Inventory Program to ensure all site inventory activities are planned, coordinated, and implemented consistently and effectively across all business units (FMF, BPF, LAB, etc.).
• Prepare, revise, and maintain MC&A inventory procedures to ensure compliance with HEU and LEU Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plans, NRC, and State of TN regulations.
• Initiate programs for continuous improvement in inventory performance to maintain and strengthen regulatory compliance.
• Participate in coordination with regulatory agencies and inspectors, including NRC on-site observation of physical inventory.
• Coordinate a system of self-assessments, surveillances, and audits to assure the quality of the Inventory Program.
• Lead the development of employee training programs applicable to inventory and other MC&A-related topics, both within the MC&A department and across the organization.
• Lead all inventory pre-list activities in preparation for inventory and physical inventory teams during list day activities.
• Coordinate inventory and MAA search activities with NFS Security to ensure safe, compliant execution.
• Coordinate inventory sampling activities and composites for operations to ensure timely delivery and analysis by the NFS laboratory to meet regulatory timelines.

Requirements

• BS in a Technical or Business Administrative discipline OR in lieu of a degree, eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• With a BS degree, over ten (10) years of relevant experience in MC&A or nuclear production operations.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain applicable federal eligibility requirements for access to classified/sensitive information, which may involve an extensive criminal and financial background investigation, drug test, and previous employment and reference verifications.

Pay

The base salary range for this position in Tennessee (US-TN) is $86,450 to $136,000 per year. The offered salary is based on local job market factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. The total compensation package may also include an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits.
