MBG Mold Maintenance Technician

Position focused on maintenance and repair of tooling, including waxing according to established procedures and schedules. Responsibilities include maintaining deck, hull, and small part tooling.

Responsibilities

• Apply high energy, self-motivation, and initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and processes.
• Use high-speed pneumatic/battery-powered tools (buffers, power sanders, etc.) and hand tools safely and effectively.
• Sand and buff problem areas to create a smooth, shiny surface.
• Read drawings and specifications.
• Complete required documentation of finished parts for production purposes.
• Perform varied and dynamic daily job duties.
• Track workload via daily schedules and assignments, ensuring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness.
• Perform job functions safely in a fast-paced environment while wearing all required PPE and following safety policies and hazardous material guidelines.
• Maintain good housekeeping by keeping work areas clean at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior gel coat and/or autobody experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
