Math Tutor - Small Group Tutoring

About the role

As a Math Fellow, you won’t just support students—you’ll help expand access to high-quality math instruction for young people who deserve every opportunity to succeed. You’ll also build meaningful, real-world experience and a strong professional skill set that prepares you for careers in education, nonprofit leadership, public service, and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily, small-group math tutoring during the school day
• Build strong relationships with students and support their growth
• Track student progress and adjust instruction based on data
• Collaborate with teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors
• Contribute to a positive, student-centered learning environment

Requirements

• Age 18 or older
• Authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
• Current enrollment in a degree program, prior enrollment, or completion of at least an associate’s degree
• English proficiency (Spanish language skills a plus)
• Ability to commit through the end of the school year
• Successful completion of required background screenings
• Reliable ability to commute to school location based on assigned schedule

Pay

$18.00 hourly (non-exempt, paid bi-weekly)

Schedule

Full-time: Monday - Thursday, approximately 8 am to 4 pm and Friday 9 am to noon; approximately 30 to 35 hours per week; During School Day; One School Year Based Fellowship (final schedule depends on school placement)
Part-time: Monday - Thursday and Friday 9 am to noon; AM Schedule Block - 8:00 to 12:00; PM Schedule Block - 12:00PM to 4:00 PM; Approximately 20 - 29 hours per week; During the School Day; One School Year Based Fellowship (final schedule depends on school placement)
