What You’ll Do

  • Teach 90-minute blocks in high school or four 55-minute blocks in middle school, per day of project time.
  • Build deep relationships and sense of community with your small group of mentees daily for your entire time at Summit.
  • Facilitate Self Directed Learning time and daily literacy or math interventions, providing student support, monitoring progress, and checking in with individuals or groups of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues twice a week during all-faculty after-school meetings, participating in community decisions, professional development, and grade-level or subject-level team meetings.

What You Need

  • A strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB).
  • A teaching credential in California or another US state.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree in Education is preferred).
  • A clear health and background check.
  • Teaching experience in your subject is preferred, but not required.
