Math Teacher (0.75)

The Roaring Fork School District is seeking a licensed secondary Math Teacher (0.75) for Geometry and AP PreCalculus in the 2026-2027 school year at Roaring Fork High School. The position reports to the Roaring Fork High School Principal and is classified as a Certified Exempt - Full-Time (0.75 FTE / 30 hours per week).

About the Role

This position involves teaching Math and serving as a Crew leader for a group of students over the course of the year. The ideal candidate will have a passion for engaging, standards-based instruction and building meaningful relationships with a diverse student body.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, standards-based instruction tailored to meet the needs of all learners.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Act as a student advocate, serve as the primary contact point between parents and the school, and monitor and support student progress academically and socially.
• Teach Geometry and AP PreCalculus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in Mathematics Education or related field of study.
• An active Colorado Teaching License in Mathematics 6-12 [or similar], or the ability to obtain one.
• A solid academic foundation with a proven track record of teaching high school math across various levels, ideally qualifications to teach Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
• A genuine passion for teaching and working with high school students and a commitment to fostering their academic growth and personal development.
• Strong relationship-building skills, consistently creating a warm, supportive, and engaging classroom environment where students feel valued and motivated.
