Math & Reading Teachers/Tutors - Elementary & Middle School

About the Role

Sylvan Learning Center is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Math/Reading Teachers to work with elementary and middle school students in a supportive, personalized learning environment. If you enjoy helping students grow academically and gain confidence in math, we would love to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support students in grades 1–8 in mathematics and/or reading
• Deliver personalized instruction using Sylvan's proven curriculum
• Motivate students and create a positive learning experience
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback
• Collaborate with the Center Director and educational team
• Maintain a professional and engaging classroom environment

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of elementary and middle school mathematics and/or reading
• Bachelor's degree preferred (Education, English, Literacy, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field)
• Teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with students of different learning levels
• Reliable, positive, and student-focused attitude

Schedule

• Part-time and flexible schedules available
• Afternoon, evening, and Saturday hours
• Additional opportunities available for SAT/ACT Math instructors

Compensation

• Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications ($25-$30, starting, based on experience)
