Math Interventionist - Full-Time -Tenure Track (Mary K. McMillion and Woodruff Elementary)

Reports to: Principal / Assistant Superintendent

Job Goal

To help provide an instruction and learning environment which fosters the ability of each pupil to master mathematics skills appropriate to age, grade level, and individual potential.

Qualifications

• New Jersey Instructional Certification in the appropriate subject matter and level
• 5-8 Math certificate or K-6 certification or PK-3 with advanced coursework in teaching mathematics
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience
• Strong knowledge of best practices and current research in math instruction and intervention
• Proven experience in fostering student achievement
• Experience using data to track, diagnose, and remediate student learning in math
• Effective problem-solving, human relations, and communication skills
• Possesses a mindset of ongoing learning, experimentation, innovation, and enthusiasm
• Demonstrates a commitment to professional development
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization
