Maternity / Youngstock Manager (KH-11309)

Responsibilities

• Monitor maternity cows and youngstock for signs of illness or distress
• Administer vaccinations and treatments
• Diagnose health concerns
• Ensure proper care and follow-through
• Work closely with management and veterinarians to maintain herd health standards
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Ensure maternity stalls and calf areas are clean, organized, and properly maintained
• Support feeding responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Dairy experience required; experience with large herds preferred
• Experience with maternity cows and/or youngstock preferred
• Recent graduates with dairy or animal science backgrounds are encouraged to apply
• Ability to supervise, train, and work effectively with employees
• Experience following and implementing SOPs preferred
• Strong herd health knowledge, including vaccinations, treatments, and animal observation
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot health or management issues
• Willingness to assist with feeding and other dairy responsibilities as needed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dairy Spanish required or strongly preferred
• Strong work ethic, communication skills, and attention to detail
