Assistant Nurse Manager, Mother/Baby, 7p-7a

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with the Nurse Manager to create and maintain a financially stable unit.
• Promotes self and staff development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education supported by a Practice Governance framework.
• Supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members.
• Assesses, develops, implements and evaluates plans of care when assuming a direct care role.
• Applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting staff.
• Ensures that the Swanson Theory of Caring and patient/family-centered care are the foundation for nursing practice.
• Ensures staff at all levels are involved in allocation of resources, interdisciplinary activities, and collaboration.

Qualifications

• One year as a Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
• Desired: Bachelor Degree; Master Degree; Doctorate Degree
