Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician
About the role
The Nemours Port St. Lucie Center for Fetal Care is an AIUM-certified practice seeking a full-time physician to join an established MFM office. The practice features up-to-date equipment and reporting software, appropriate support staff including 2 full-time MFM sonographers, a nurse, RN-Operations Manager, and a certified genetic counselor. Perinatal coordinators assist with arranging fetal subspecialty consultations. This position is strictly consultative with no delivery requirement. Call is consultative only and can be done by telephone, telehealth or in-person depending on the need.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultative care for high-risk pregnancies
- Perform fetal echocardiograms and other diagnostic procedures as needed
- Collaborate with maternal-fetal specialists and neonatologists
- Participate in multidisciplinary fetal care teams
- Manage and coordinate prenatal care for high-risk pregnancies
- Conduct fetal ultrasound examinations and interpret results
- Develop and implement treatment plans for high-risk pregnancies
- Participate in continuing medical education and professional development
Requirements
- Completed an accredited ABOG MFM fellowship prior to starting
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Florida Medical License
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
- Accredited ABOG Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Florida Medical License
