Key Responsibilities
- Perform field inspection and testing of asphalt, concrete, soils, and aggregates.
- Conduct roadway and plant inspections in accordance with project requirements.
- Accurately document test results, field observations, and daily reports.
- Communicate findings clearly with project engineers, project managers, and laboratory staff.
- Follow ASTM, AASHTO, and project-specific procedures.
- Maintain safety and quality standards on active construction sites.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction, inspection, or materials testing preferred.
- Familiarity with asphalt and concrete operations is a plus.
- Industry certifications such as ACI, NJSAT, NICET, or NJDOT are a plus, not required.
- Ability to work independently in the field and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a technical role.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
