Materials Technician Level 1, A-Shift

About the role

We're looking for a Materials Handler to join our Mail Order Pharmacy team in Wilkes-Barre, PA. As a key member of our team, you'll ensure patients receive their medications promptly. You'll work alongside a dedicated group of professionals in a fast-paced, high-impact dispensing role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy using scanners and other hand-held devices
• Moving new shipments of pharmaceutical products to appropriate storage spaces
• Pulling products to be shipped with the correct carriers and inspecting for damages
• Utilizing manual lifts, reach trucks, and transfer equipment to move product throughout the facility
• Engaging in an active environment while developing individual production skills

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer screen and reading
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, turn, and reach
• Ability to concentrate on tasks for extended periods
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Regular and predictable attendance
• Work mandatory overtime/extended work week when needed
• Physical demands: standing for long periods, moving about on foot, lifting up to 55 lbs, reaching, bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and walking

Skills

• Knowledge of materials management systems (SAP)
• Formal Pharmacy Technician training and/or experience
• Experience in medical, fulfillment center, warehouse, or healthcare environments
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
