About the Role
The Materials Technician performs shipping, receiving, and inventory management duties within a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Replenish and deliver medical supplies to various units and off-site locations
- Assist with stock organization and participate in inventory counts
- Investigate inventory discrepancies
- Manage department equipment and returns
- Prepare materials for delivery
- Handle mail and correspondence
- Maintain clean and organized warehouse areas
- Support department vehicles and equipment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 6 months of experience in a materials or healthcare environment
- Familiarity with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dock lifts
- Ability to operate small commercial vehicles with lift gates
- Computer literacy
- Physical ability to lift up to 45 lbs, work at heights, and stand or walk for extended periods
