Materials Supervisor in Training - 2nd/3rd shift

About the Role

We are looking for a Materials Supervisor in Training to lead and support our shipping and receiving teams across the plant. This role is designed to build our bench strength of Supervisors in Hudsonville. You will work out of our Quincy or Corporate Grove facility in Hudsonville and report directly to the Materials Manager.

The position involves training on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks, followed by additional training on 2nd and/or 3rd shift. Approximately the first 12 months will consist of training in various roles and processes before independently leading a team. You must be able to work 2nd and 3rd shift to be considered.

• 1st shift: 8am-4pm
• 2nd shift: 4pm-12am
• 3rd shift: 12am-8am

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team in the execution of outgoing and incoming shipments
• Inventory control
• Focus on continuous improvement
• Daily use of ERP system (Syteline), scanners, and other technology-related products
• Prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities within the shipping and receiving teams

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or 3-5 years of solid manufacturing experience
• Experience in shipping and receiving, including hilo driving
• Current or previous supervisory experience and/or strong leadership skills
• Experience working with material systems (e.g., ERP systems); Syteline experience is a plus
• Willing and able to work overtime (45-50 hours/week)
• Excellent attendance record

Schedule

• 1st shift: 8am-4pm (initial training for 4-6 weeks)

• 45-50 hours per week, including overtime
