Schedule

8-hour shifts, 0700 - 1530 with rotating weekends.

Pay

Pay range: $19.80 - $29.70 per hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience preferred).
  • Previous experience with warehouse, receiving, or distribution of supplies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains medical supplies inventory for designated departments.
  • Accurately counts par levels and replenishes them per established schedule.
  • Organizes storage areas in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Notifies lead distribution technician when stock levels reach critical low levels or outage.
  • Ensures all patient chargeable items are clearly and accurately labeled with date and charge number.
  • Ensures accuracy in matching goods with receiving slips and counting supplies on assigned par levels.
  • Checks for expired goods and amends par level sheets to meet department needs.
  • Rotates incoming supplies to prevent product expiration.
  • Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
  • Ensures high service levels to patient care areas through accurate inventory management.
  • Rotates medical supplies within par stock areas on each nursing unit.
  • Handles over-the-counter issues, courier service, and bed storage/transfer services.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work areas.
  • Ensures materials and supplies are placed properly in designated locations for distribution.
  • Performs storeroom and materials distribution services, including inventorying, checking, stocking, issuing, and delivering medical supplies daily to all nursing units.
  • Assists nursing units in resolving problems concerning stock levels as a storeroom representative.
  • Responsible for receipt of all stock items and maintaining par levels of medical supplies for Medical-Surgical units.

Skills

  • Subject to many interruptions.
  • Occasional pressure due to multiple orders.
