About the role
Discover your future with us. As a Materials Specialist at Arete, you will play a key role in supporting the dynamics of our warehouse activities within both production and R&D environments. Your role is multifaceted, requiring adherence to our company policies and the meticulous management of materials, from their receipt to their utilization on the production floor.
Primary Responsibilities
- Weekly and annual physical counts
- Maintain inventory accuracy in line with Arete’s policies
- Accurate distribution of products by pulling parts from inventory, delivering production materials based on production schedule or inventory transaction forms
- Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing products, materials, and supplies, ensuring accurate documentation, inventory control, and safe handling
- Inspect shipments for damage, verify contents against purchase orders, and prepare items for shipping using our Material Management System
- Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area
- Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, and recording location of inventory
- Verify materials, lot numbers, and quantities for all transactions
- Work alongside engineering, purchasing, quality assurance, configuration management, and production teams to ensure material flow accuracy
- ISO Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external ISO audits on a yearly basis
- Facilitate working relationships with internal customers, suppliers and government agencies
- Ensure warehouse supplies are well-stocked
- Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds
- Additional tasks that contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations

Experiences and Background We Look For
- U.S. citizenship, background screen and drug test are required to meet position eligibility
- 5+ years of Foreign and Domestic shipping experience – knowledge of Licenses, HTS codes, Warranties
- Experience using material management databases
- Ability to facilitate working relationships with internal customers, suppliers and government agencies
- 5+ years of experience with inventory management or production planning
Nice to Have
- Experience using MRP software (CostPoint desired)
- Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR, EAR and ITAR
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Forklift experience
