Job Summary

The Atlanta Project Manager of Global Distribution will manage strategic relationships with domestic 3PL providers, interface with the corporate office, and align the distribution network with organizational priorities. This role requires enabling smooth collaboration across multiple organizations and establishing trust to achieve the best outcomes.

Essential Functions

  • Assist management and team members in establishing projects that align with Continuous Improvement Objectives and department vision.
  • Develop project tasks, establish resources, and perform cost analysis for projects.
  • Provide data analysis for projects' returns, assisting management in prioritizing projects.
  • Allocate work and assist in controlling resource utilization to ensure project work plans are met.
  • Establish methods and track root causes, providing corrective analysis and closing out action items.
  • Support Materials Management in developing a Distribution Requirements/Resource Planning strategy to optimize inventory demands at global distribution centers.
  • Conduct weekly reviews with management on continuous improvement objectives and project status.
  • Maintain accurate records, including bar charts, flow charts, and other tools to track manpower requirements, budget performance, and project status.
  • If a project involves a vendor, provide legal documentation, establish the project scope of work, and validate vendor invoices.

Additional Functions

  • Ensure high visibility of project measurements (PDCA, Dashboard, or Metrics).
  • Develop and provide metrics for inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related curriculum or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of related experience in project management or materials.
  • Preferred certifications: Certified Lean Specialist or Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Working knowledge of statistical tools.
  • Project/process management analysis and documentation skills.
  • Computer literacy with enterprise planning tools.
  • Experience with Cognos reporting, Microsoft Office suite, iGrafx, and/or Visio.
  • Ability to implement problem-solving skills or change initiatives at an enterprise level.
  • Ability to lead project teams and implement change.

Education and Experience

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 5 years related experience in project management or materials.
