Materials Operations Manager

About the role

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is seeking a Materials Operations Manager located at the Rumford, RI facility.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal materials & scheduling processes to drive adherence to the Master Production Schedule via the SIOP process.
• Direct supply chain personnel in procurement, receipt, disbursement, and inventory control to ensure on‑time delivery and maintain inventory levels.
• Schedule production in the short‑term horizon based on S&OE processes.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through accurate cycle counting.
• Oversee movement of materials through the facility, including internal receipts, storage, distribution, and transportation.
• Manage site logistics activities.
• Administer indirect and MRO purchasing per Eaton standards.
• Generate short‑term production scheduling aligned with the Network plan.
• Monitor execution of the production schedule on the factory floor.
• Escalate material availability issues to the COE and Network teams.
• Drive forecast attainment aligned with the MPS from the SIOP plan.
• Execute shipment schedule aligned with customer priority dates, network, and customer service.
• Champion continuous improvement using internal assessments (MMA, OPA), visual management, standard work, and value stream mapping.
• Maintain target inventory levels and meet OTD goals for internal/external customers and freight targets (including premium freight) per network plan.
• Own plant data health activities: routings, WMS, MRO, shipping/receiving, part movements, production scheduling.
• Serve as point of contact for escalations related to execution of the overall SIOP plan.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; minimum of five (5) years combined experience in Materials, Operations, Customer Service and/or Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environment; minimum of one (1) year of people‑management experience; must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and be a U.S. person (citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) due to export‑controlled information access; no relocation benefit offered; candidates must reside within a 50‑mile radius of Rumford, RI (Active‑Duty Military Service members exempt from this geographic limit).

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering; minimum of seven (7) years supply chain experience; minimum of three (3) years of people‑management experience; at least one (1) year of Power BI design experience; one (1) year of MFGPro experience; CPIM certification.

Skills

• In‑depth knowledge of plant manufacturing processes and value streams from raw materials to finished product.
• Technical knowledge of forecasting techniques, bill of material structuring, and scheduling execution.

Pay

Expected annual salary range: $113,000 – $165,000; salary based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market and business considerations.
