Materials Manager

Job Summary

The Materials Manager is responsible for executing manufacturing and logistics plans and strategies for assigned plant. Responsible for the materials management function relating to the planning, procurement, storage, control, distribution and shipping of materials and products to meet company objectives and customer requirements. Directs production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts. Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines. This position contributes to on-going supply chain management process improvement.

• Executes manufacturing and logistics plans and strategies for assigned plant
• Manages the materials management function including planning, procurement, storage, control, distribution and shipping of materials and products
• Maintains inventory levels to ensure deliveries occur within customer timelines
• Directs production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts
• Contributes to on-going supply chain management process improvement

Requirements

• Proven experience in materials management and logistics
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with production planning and scheduling
• Knowledge of inventory management systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in materials management and logistics
