Materials Management Operator
About the role

Responsibilities
- Operate various forklifts and perform warehouse tasks such as shipping and receiving, storing materials, and inventory management.
- Inspect incoming shipments for compliance with purchase order specifications and identify and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
- Process inventory receipts, maintain stock records, and participate in warehouse inventory control processes.
- Create transfer orders and place materials in designated storage bins.
- Compile and submit samples in accordance with cGMP guidelines.
- Distribute incoming shipments according to documented procedures.
- Complete all SAP transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Process outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and meet customer delivery timelines.
- Read and follow packing list instructions.
- Coordinate freight pick-ups with appropriate freight companies.
- Create shipping documents and labels ensuring accurate shipping information.
- Review production schedules for raw material requirements and communicate any discrepancies with relevant production personnel.
- Create movement of material documents.
- Clean and properly store crude crystal bags.
- Maintain neat and complete documentation in accordance with cGMP requirements.
- Review and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the department.
- Perform safety checks on forklifts, safety equipment, fire extinguishers, and crude crystal bags and record results in the appropriate logbooks.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Adhere to and follow all required safety procedures, including using safety equipment and PPE, completing required safety trainings, and reporting any observed safety violations or concerns.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a warehouse and operating various forklifts.
- Certified forklift operator is preferred.
Qualifications
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions as well as oral instructions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers.
- Basic computer and mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse principles and procedures, including shipping and receiving, storing materials, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of shipping terms and reading production schedules.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends.
Skills
- Ability to operate various forklifts.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
