About the role
The Materials Engineer will play a key role in New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering, focusing on materials selection, testing, and optimization. This position requires a deep understanding of material properties and the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct material evaluations and provide recommendations based on performance, cost, and availability.
- Develop and execute material testing protocols to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material usage and reduce waste.
- Stay updated with emerging materials technologies and their potential applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in materials engineering or a similar technical role.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using materials testing equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience with materials characterization techniques such as XRD, SEM, and DSC.
- Knowledge of material databases and tools for sourcing and managing materials.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with CAD software for design and simulation.
- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodologies.

Pay
$100,000 - $140,000 per year
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
