ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform reverse engineering on non-production parts in order to develop production specifications and Quality Test Procedures, as well as Parts Manufacturing Authority reports for the FAA.
- Conduct Research and Development Analysis of materials to assist with Business Unit’s New Product Development Process.
- Provide Technical support to customers, laboratory staff when needed.
- Assist on materials analysis process for production parts to ensure conformity to specifications (grain size and flow, abusive machining, hardness, chemistry, etc.) when needed.
- Assist with development and write-up of Quality Test Procedures detailing required preparation and testing of incoming materials when needed.
- Keep current with the latest in materials analysis techniques and equipment technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in materials engineering or related field.
- Experience with composite materials or specializing in one type of material, such as graphite, metal and metal alloys, ceramics and glass, plastics and polymers, and naturally occurring materials.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data from laboratory tests and product failure data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
- Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 annually
