Materials Coordinator

About the role

Coordinate raw material planning, receiving, and inventory for Houston Plant.

Essential Job Functions

• Coordinate planning forecast and advise purchasing of raw materials each month
• Receive raw materials
• Receive MRO items
• Review schedule production to determine if current inventory can be used; reserve rolls as applicable
• Coordinate and delegate special order requests, ensure material availability, and communicate production possibilities as required
• Coordinate and engage in Quarterly and Annual physical inventory
• Manage inventory and make necessary corrections
• Update weekly inventory statistics on materials dashboard
• Back-up logistics clerk
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (AS Degree preferred)
• Five (5) years of production and inventory control experience or related experience
• Understanding of manufacturing resource planning (MRP) a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Axapta experience a plus)
• Show a high degree of attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multi-task
• Good mathematical skills
• Proficient in ERP systems, Excel, and Microsoft Word
