Materials Coordinator
About the role
Utilizes a computerized MMIS (Materials Management Information System) and associated hardware/software to conduct physical inventories, replenish supply areas (including patient care and ancillary areas), receive incoming stock and non-stock freight and parcel shipments, and put away inventory items. Prepares and coordinates outgoing parcel and freight shipments. Responsible for processing fax, phone, electronic order entry, and walk-up supply requests in the MSC. Enters data into the MMIS to inventory, pick, deliver, and stock products with a high level of accuracy to ensure accountability for all products and equipment in the MSC (Materials Service Center). Delivers stock and non-stock products and packages to the appropriate departments/areas.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of inventory systems, receiving, warehousing and/or supply distribution using a computerized MMIS in a perpetual inventory system within the previous three years
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework/Training: Inventory and supply distribution management courses
- Experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience with material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jack, etc.)
