Materials Coordinator

About the Role

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory levels in warehouse areas as well as improving shipping performance, quality, and reliability. This role coordinates with procurement, maintenance, and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of materials by owning the “waiting on materials” backlog of planned maintenance work in SAP. The coordinator also analyzes inventory data to identify trends, reduce waste, and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and revise metrics/measurements that monitor key plant inventory control points and quality control points.
• Identify improvement opportunities through customer feedback and business‑driven programs.
• Work with the activity scheduler on COA issues and with carriers & loaders on prior content issues.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the S4 Warehouse Management System; act as the QN focal point for damaged/return material and customer complaints; function as Procurement Liaison for packaged supplies (labels, pallets, caps, etc.).
• Collaborate with the master data team and procurement to set up new materials in S4.
• Evaluate inventory trends to improve stock efficiency, limit excess materials, and drive operational improvements.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in production or maintenance within a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Warehouse material handling or other relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to work call‑ins and overtime when support is needed.
• Availability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
• Proficiency with SAP preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications required.
• Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred.

Pay

Salary range: $90,000 – $111,800.

Schedule

9/80 or 5‑8s work schedule.
