Materials Coordinator

Knapheide Truck Equipment Center in Acworth, GA is seeking a full-time Materials Coordinator to supply parts to the production area, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Additional overtime as needed or required

Responsibilities

• Purchase required equipment and supplies
• Communicate with vendors and maintain forecasted equipment arrival dates
• Find solutions to equipment lead time issues
• Manage inventory stock levels
• Maintain on-site inventory organization
• Conduct regular cycle counts
• Complete 100% physical inventory annually
• Load, unload, and store equipment from transport trucks
• Effectively communicate with other team members to discuss special items, obstacles, lead times, etc.

Requirements

• Exposure to vehicle repairs and/or parts sales (a plus)
• MRP or equivalent business system experience
• Experience purchasing parts and service for ongoing manufacturing operations
• Strong time management and execution of detailed tasks
• Mechanical/technical aptitude
• Forklift operation experience
• Ability to work on a computer much of the time and learn a new MRP system
