Materials B- 1st Shift

About the Role

We have an exciting opening for a Materials B located in New Hope, MN. This role supports the Compact Power Business Unit within Parker’s Hydraulic Actuator Division by performing all operations related to picking and moving materials within their area of control.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and moves materials within a manufacturing shop floor environment (TUG).
• Delivers internal products in a timely manner to mirror the supply and demand of the assembly line replenishment system.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand; organizes and loads materials onto a tug vehicle; conveys materials to or from the material storage area, by hand or using an electric dolly or fork truck.
• Counts, weighs, and records the number of units of materials moved or handled on a daily production sheet; attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Monitors backlog for shipments to be processed; packages and otherwise prepares items for shipment.
• Resolves problems to meet specifications; notifies the Supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Keeps equipment operational and in specification by alerting Quality Control or Maintenance of preventative maintenance requirements.
• Maintains product quality by following established procedures and customer requirements.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• 2 years’ work experience in a materials environment (shipping, receiving, stockroom).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed to fulfill business requirements.
• Working knowledge of personal computers and willingness to advance PC skills as needed.
• Previous experience in the flow, delivery, and organization of materials.

Qualifications

This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.

Pay

Pay Range: $21.11/hr to $24/hr
