Material Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine types, quantities, and availability of required materials
• Confers with department supervisors to determine materials overdue and to inform them of location, availability, and the condition of the materials
• Loads and unloads materials to and from delivery trucks, either internal or external
• Receives, uncrates, and inspects materials received at the Warehouse
• Performs physical inventory counts and enter counts in inventory management software
• Limits materials distributed and on hand
• Compares work ticket specifications with material prior to loading truck at warehouse

Qualifications

• Six (6) months’ experience in a similar role preferred
• Forklift certification required
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Must be familiar with measuring devices and have basic computer skills

Skills and Abilities

• Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Overhead Crane Experience Preferred
