Material Services Technician
About the role
United Weld Holdings has an exciting opportunity available for a Material Services Technician to join their Materials team. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects both nationally and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Transmit inventory releases to fabrication shops
- Perform material take-offs from isometrics or run IDF/PCF files for obtaining a bill of material
- Extract various checks to ensure accuracy
- Build and maintain project specifications in drafting software according to project documentation
- Associate transfer requisitions with inventory transfers or submit requisitions for non-transferable materials
- Process revision spools from engineering
- Release spools short to the fabrication shop
- Perform short report actions
- Create substitutions in J.D Edwards and redline sketches to show changes
- Perform ship loose spools
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Entry-level experience
Computer Skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
- Familiarity with office productivity tools and collaboration platforms like Teams and SharePoint
- Ability to learn and adapt to specialized software used in company operations

- Organizational - Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
- Time Management - Demonstrates ability to allocate time effectively to complete tasks and projects ensuring high-quality results within required timelines
