Material Services Technician

About the role

United Weld Holdings has an exciting opportunity available for a Material Services Technician to join their Materials team. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of projects both nationally and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Transmit inventory releases to fabrication shops
• Perform material take-offs from isometrics or run IDF/PCF files for obtaining a bill of material
• Extract various checks to ensure accuracy
• Build and maintain project specifications in drafting software according to project documentation
• Associate transfer requisitions with inventory transfers or submit requisitions for non-transferable materials
• Process revision spools from engineering
• Release spools short to the fabrication shop
• Perform short report actions
• Create substitutions in J.D Edwards and redline sketches to show changes
• Perform ship loose spools
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Entry-level experience

Computer Skills

• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook
• Familiarity with office productivity tools and collaboration platforms like Teams and SharePoint
• Ability to learn and adapt to specialized software used in company operations

Other Requirements

• Organizational - Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Time Management - Demonstrates ability to allocate time effectively to complete tasks and projects ensuring high-quality results within required timelines
