Material Program Manager - Advanced Technologies Development Programs
About the role
The Material Program Manager (MPM) supports development programs within the Advanced Technologies Strategic Business Unit (SBU) at Raytheon. This role oversees supply chain tasks, manages material strategies, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective material procurement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the performance of domestic suppliers, ensuring quality, affordability, and timely delivery of hardware and/or services.
- Develop and execute material strategies that align with program needs and requirements.
- Drive robust material cost, quality, and schedule negotiations across the supplier base.
- Collaborate and influence cross-functional teams, guiding Engineering to support timely material procurement.
- Provide accurate forecasting of material costs and manage related financial metrics.
- Monitor and proactively address performance and financial metrics, including cost, schedule, quality, and EVMS.
- Own the supplier management process, including supplier performance, SCM metrics, Make/Buy/Where strategies, strategic agreements, and compliance with customer flow-through requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS, ITAR, public law).
Requirements
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supply chain-relevant role such as procurement, MRP, cost estimating, or finance.
- Experience with supplier management and/or subcontract management.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (special program access or equivalent manufacturing programs).
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain prior to start date.
Qualifications
- Experience with material sales forecasting.
- Experience with multiple DoD/DoW contract types (e.g., Cost Type, Firm Fixed Price).
- Experience with government acquisition regulations and laws, including FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and TINA.
- Experience working with missile system elements such as Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), Printed Wiring Boards, electrical components, harnessing, or energetics like rocket motors and warheads.
- Experience managing complex supplier relationships in a matrixed organization.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $107,500 - $204,500 annually.

This role is an Onsite position based in Tucson, AZ.
