Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the work of subordinates involved in material movement across different operation areas.
- Ensure proper scheduling and record keeping for materials moved within operations area.
- Compile reports on various aspects of changes in production which affects materials feeds to production lines.
- Find, sort, or move goods between different parts of the business.
- Oversee workers’ schedules, estimate costs, keep track of materials, and write special orders for new materials.
- Perform general office tasks, such as entering data or distributing mail.
- May receive, unpack, and use hand-held scanners to keep track of merchandise within different production areas.
- May weigh, measure, check, sample, and keep records on materials, supplies, and equipment that enters operations area.
- May verify the quantity and quality of items provided on production line, checking for defects and recording what they find.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of related experience.
- Office Skills: typing, telephones, office software to include, word processing, spreadsheets, presentation package and database systems.
- Skills required: electronic scales, pallet jack, measuring tools, and alignment tools.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional's journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Qualifications
