Material Handler Welding-2nd Shift

About the role

This position reports to the Welding Supervisor and is responsible for the fulfillment of all assigned duties related to the storage, transportation, and organization of parts in welding and welding stores areas.

Responsibilities

• Locate and transport appropriate parts to specified areas.
• Ensure all labels are visible and in legible condition.
• Perform daily checks on fork truck and complete related paperwork.
• Maintain housekeeping in weld stores area and remove debris.
• Dispose of manufacturing waste/excess in appropriate containers.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned or logically inherent to the position.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a scanner to locate and transport materials to specified welding areas.
• Ability to obtain JOST International Fork Truck Certification (prior experience preferred but not required).
• Ability to gain knowledge of company products.
• Comply with quality, environmental, safety, and Jost company policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in a production plant 100% of the time.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, bend, and twist.
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull, or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
