Job Summary
The Material Handler is responsible for unloading, checking in, stocking, picking, consolidating, packing, and shipping inventory in the warehouse. These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth inbound and outbound operations. This position requires the use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which may include Powered Industrial Trucks.Job Location

- Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by hand
- Use our ERP system to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiently, ready to be placed in storage racking
- Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock, or transport product to other areas of the Distribution Center
- Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device, ready for warehouse operations
- Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using handheld scanning devices and ERP system, completed on foot or using forklift equipment
- Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing
- Pack products accurately and securely using our internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership
- Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
- Abide by all company and warehouse policies
- Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation
Qualifications
- Experience: Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment; Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; Ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence; Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
- Education: No degree required, but relevant skills and experience are valued above all else
- Desired Traits & Skills: Business proficiency in English; 1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required.
