Material Handler - Third Shift 8:00 pm -6:30 pm (M-T)

About the Role

This is a 12-month contract position on W2 for a Material Handler specializing in reach/order picker forklift operations. The role is based in Covington, GA, and requires US citizenship or Green Card holders only. The position operates on a third shift schedule from 8:00 pm to 6:30 am, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Unloads inbound trucks (inter-company deliveries, vendors, etc.).
• Loads outbound trucks (inter-company shipments, off-site warehouse, etc.).
• Locates and retrieves products as well as replenishes picking locations using FEFO methodology.
• Moves pallets on dock.
• May be required to physically stack/transport product from larger sterilization pallet to regular pallet before moving by forklift to dock.
• Ensures all assigned duties are safely completed in a timely manner in accordance with department standards and procedures.
• Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in GMPs.
• Follows Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.
• Prioritizes safety to maintain safe working conditions and adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.
• May perform warehouse associate duties and train new hires on RF functions.
• Regular and reliable attendance at work.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• Must be able to concentrate and be on alert at all times.
• Must be able to work well with others.
• Experienced in the safe operation of material handling equipment.
• Licensed to operate material handling equipment.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience on Cherry picker and/or Reach lift.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Good basic math skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
• Safety shoes required for the position.

Physical Demands

• Regular exposure to walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, and twisting.
• Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, pick, or type, which can include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, or fingers.
• Occasional climbing.
• May require lifting over 50 lbs in some areas but not all.

Work Environment

• Exposure to work near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places.
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions: hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating).
• Occasional exposure to fumes/airborne particles.
• Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment.

Pay

$16–20 per hour.

Schedule

Third shift: 8:00 pm – 6:30 am, Monday through Thursday (40 hours per week).
