About the role
You will serve as a Material Handler Supervisor in the Material Readiness Cell (MRC) Branch, in the Supply Department (Code 500), located at the NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Responsibilities
- Execute, implement, and oversee DoD and Navy Supply Chain operations, relationships, and responsibilities, including the strategic execution of material movement processes.
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate diverse personnel while prioritizing multiple resources and efforts simultaneously in a high-traffic, dynamic, and fast-paced operational environment.
- Interpret instructions, relay appropriate information to personnel with a need-to-know, maintain rigid safety standards, and manage accurate records for performance measurement, including scheduling, communication, and timekeeping.
- Plan, coordinate, and establish critical deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, while actively resolving complex work issues and implementing corrective solutions.
