Material Supervisor

About the role

The Material Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the warehouse team to ensure efficient operations across two facilities. Key responsibilities include managing inbound and outbound logistics, monitoring replenishment activities, providing training, and maintaining inventory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise three primary warehouse teams (shipping and receiving, production control, and outbound logistics)
• Ensure timely and efficient handling of inbound direct material shipments
• Maintain high priority replenishment requests while balancing medium and low priority orders
• Train new hires on their roles and responsibilities, including necessary system access
• Manage time card submissions and personnel functions
• Generate and review quarterly cycle count plans and adjust inventory levels accordingly
• Support engineering and test teams with indirect material requests
• Manage inventory of equipment and consumables to maintain operational efficiency and cost control

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in production or manufacturing, with at least 2+ years in supervisory roles
• Proficiency with ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms, and significant experience with spreadsheets
• Solutions-oriented leadership with experience resolving root cause issues
• Experience with automotive components beneficial
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy components
