Material Handler – Staging

Martin and Son is a specialty contractor with services in residential & commercial flooring, commercial glass, walls & ceilings, doors, hardware & specialties, and millwork & FF&E, along with national retail solutions, including fixture installation. Founded in 1931, the fourth-generation company works nationwide from its headquarters in Green Bay, WI.

Position Description: We are seeking a Material Handler – Staging to help with loading and staging company vehicles, organizing, and other warehouse duties as needed. This position works closely with warehouse staff and team to ensure materials are accurately picked, staged, and loaded while maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• Pull, stage, and load vans with materials for residential and commercial installation projects
• Load company vehicles with materials, tools, and supplied according to daily schedules
• Lift and handle material coming into and leaving the warehouse and properly inspect, as needed
• Verify materials against pick lists and work orders to ensure accuracy before loading
• Maintain organized staging areas and keep warehouse aisles, racks, and workspaces clean and safe
• Help identify damaged, missing, or incorrect materials and notify warehouse leadership
• Return unused materials to proper inventory locations and assist with material organization
• Assist with general warehouse and distribution center duties as needed
• Serve as backup support for other warehouse functions when workload required
• Performs other related duties as assigned including supporting team members in the completion of their work for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the business.

Requirements

• Forklift experience or certification preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multi-task, fast-paced, and team-oriented
• Valid driver’s license required
• Conditions of Employment: Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical. The employee is expected to adhere to all company policies. Position requires strenuous physical work, including heavy lifting, pushing and/or pulling objects.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday (9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with 1/2 hour lunch).
