About the role
Supply material and assistance to the Spinning Department in a timely manner to increase production efficiencies and overall productivity. Work in and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintains equipment and materials to manufacture a good fiberglass product.
- Provides the Spinning Department with supplies needed to run production.
- Trains to obtain a clear understanding of the furnace application.
- Performs assigned duties and follows policies and procedures.
- Completes training on manufacturing Instructions, LOTO and JSA’s.
- Works on 12 hour rotating shifts, operating 7 days a week.
- Moves and positions glass hoppers for furnace operations.
- Loads materials into glass elevator.
- Moves finished product to designated locations in the warehouse.
- Aids in preparing for product changeovers.
- Cleans and sweeps floors, walls, rails, and ceiling as needed.
Requirements
- Frequent lifting and moving of up to 10-25 pounds.
- Close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Regular standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Qualifications
- Must be able to perform assigned duties and follow policies and procedures.
- Must complete training on manufacturing Instructions, LOTO, and JSA’s.
Skills
- Physical stamina and strength.
